A sample request is more useful when it explains the business context, not just the product name. A short, organized brief helps a supplier understand the market, format, packaging and delivery questions behind the request.
You do not need to know every technical detail before starting. Share what you know and identify the decisions that still need to be confirmed.
Describe the market and sales channel
Include the destination country or region and where you plan to sell: retail, e-commerce, marketplace, clinic, gym or another channel. This context can affect product positioning, label review and shipping planning.
List the product direction
Share the categories, ingredients or wellness formats you are considering. Mention whether you are comparing capsules, softgels, powders, liquid drops or gummies, and whether you have a preferred pack size.
If you are open to recommendations, say so. A supplier may be able to suggest a closer product match when the brief includes the customer and channel.
Explain packaging and label needs
Clarify whether you want existing ITAWEL packaging, destination-language labels, a different carton format or a review of artwork options. Include barcode, language, serving information and other known requirements.
Do not approve artwork until the formula, serving details and destination requirements have been reviewed together.
Give an estimated order range
An approximate quantity helps the supplier distinguish a sample discussion from a wholesale order. You can provide a range if the final volume is not known. The final price, quantity, preparation window and shipping route should be confirmed against the actual order.
Share timing and delivery information
Include a target launch or delivery window and the destination city, warehouse, fulfilment centre or port when known. Ask how the preparation window is calculated and which shipping options can be discussed.
Prepare questions about documents
Ask which product and quality documents are available for the selected items and destination. Depending on the market, the review may include ingredient information, specifications, a certificate of analysis, allergen details, storage guidance and other documents requested by the importing partner.
